The idea behind filming the bicycle trip was to recreate the experience and tell the story of what I learned through the struggles with Proud Mary, the name I gave my bike. I shot on DV tape using a Panasonic CCCD NV-75 camcorder, for you film nerds out there. When I finished the trip, I had accumulated 24 hours of videotape. 8 of these hours were from Yann Facchin, a friend of mine who is making a documentary himself. He followed me for the first few weeks of the trip and graciously allowed me to copy his 8 hours of his footage. Most of the first 22 minutes of the flick is his film. Who knows where this project would be without his encouragement and keen photographic eye. He's making a documentary about five backpackers traveling around Australia and New Zealand. The soundtrack to the movie is a compilation of 21 songs from 18 different bands. The following is a list of the music in order of appearance in the movie. Links are provided for each group and their corresponding website. I'd like to give the songs away for free, but I'm sure that would only bring on bad things. This list is a thanks to the artists and an attempt to expose lesser known artists to a new market and put some old sounds back on the playlist.
